Interestingly, because the Appelt’s felt inspired by God to do this venture, they asked family and friends to each name someone famous that was an inspiration to them when they were growing up. It was eye opening and endearing to find out who m their children, parents and friends chose and to learn why. If you look at the home names you might see someone who inspired you too!
